International Sub-Topics

i’m not a professional coder, mainly self-taught. however, some years ago i’ve followed some classes, and exactely this was one of the first thing we learned:

no matter what is your native language, in coding the “official” language is english. a worthwhile coder should always use english variable / definition / etc names and english comments. that is a basic rule. otherwise, if anytime someone else - with a different native language - takes over the project, will curse you to death :slight_smile:

and believe me, this is true! once, i had to debug / work on a quite big project, which was written by some spanish folks. all the namings and comments is spanish… it was a real pain in the ass and soon i’ve abandoned it.

It is more a pet peeve that I usually ignore… but if doing interpreting, then spelling of names seems important… it is Blynk and Blynker, etc. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, you can count on me for Spanish (es_es locale, for being precise). I’ve done some semi-pro translations before. Don’t want to show off so please contact me by DM for details.

Ok. I see that @psoro has already done a translation. Here’s mine:

• Sistema Operativo y versión de tu Smartphone (iOS o Android)
• Si usas el Servidor Blynk o un servidor local
• Versión de la librería Blynk
• Incluye el código de tu programa. :point_up: éste debe mostrarse con este formato:

void loop()

Basta con que incluyas el fragmento de código entre los símbolos ```
Si tu código no tiene formato podría ser borrado por los moderadores

Why do you think we need two Spanish translations? Is your Spanish different than psoro’s?

@RobertoMD @psoro
Guys, could you please agree on the final Spanish version. I will be working on adding categories and templates later today and tomorrow.

Thanks a lot!

Well, I was just trying to help… I didn’t want to annoy anyone. I guess we would need a third spanish opinion in order to judge which is better as I imagine that I vote for my version, and psoro will vote for his version…

I dislike the idea to enter in a kind of competition…IMHO both versions could work. For me, the idea, is to help people without skills in English with Blynk…

No annoying here. It’s a friendly community where people can agree on things, especially when it’s objective language translation :smiley:

I’m simply trying to figure out whose translation to use since I don’t know Spanish and can’t judge.:man_shrugging:

I agree with psoro… this is a bit of an awkward situation. Toss a coin. Heads.

Hello! I would like to help as Spanish speaking blynker, I’m basic user.

If we are struggling only with a few lines, I can’t imagine translating what Virtual pins are…:sweat_smile:
Let’s do a mix with both versions throught PM’s so we can post the one that would make cry with joy Spanish talkers. :wink:
Do you agree?

¡Totalmente de acuerdo! comencemos con los pines virtuales :laughing:

MN = Mongolian
BH = Bahrein

@zodiac
Is that my ignorance or some error? Could you please specify?

So far added. Please check that everything is correct. Thank you!!!

Any German-speaking Blynkers here?

@Pavel, regarding the international subtopics, it should be some options, that one receive an email when a new topic is created in the preselected languages. otherwise there are chances that a new topic will go unnoticed…
