Hmm,.
Or, the website is not updated yet, what is weird because new customers should know what they are buying i presume.
Or, they changed their opinion and adjusted the 10 to 30 datastreams ?

Well, technically that is correct, as the changes donât come in to effect until the end of the month. Anyone signing-up until then can create up to 30 datastreams and continue to use them after the end of the month provided they donât try to edit them.
The word âbuyingâ implies that some money changes hand in exchange for the Blynk service, which obviously isnât the case with the free account.
Pete.
Para poder ser un cliente, se debe pasar primero por ser un usuario gratuito, dominar bien el sistema y despĂșes poder migrar a ser cliente con un plan.
Los usuarios gratuitos son tan importantes como los clientes de plan.
Thatâs why I think it would be better to limit the duration of the free plan to - letâs say - 6 months.
At that point users can then decide to upgrade to a paid plan (hopefully with a discount on their first yearâs subscription) or use a different platform.
This has the advantage of automatically purging the system of accounts that were created then abandoned without the need to do this in some other way (as was done in the Legacy system after a period of inactivity).
Pete.
Do you have the above black on white @PeteKnight?
Because the last thing i heard is that all Datastreams above 10 will be deleted after the end of this month.
Also, when buying/upgrading to a Plus account per now it will give me 80 Datastreams, what if i need more then 80 Datastreams and should upgrade to a Pro account,âŠ? Hence my comment; âknow what you are buyingâ
Hello, pricing will be updated later on all platforms
Regards
Did you read the entire topic?âŠ
Your screenshot had a red arrow pointing to the free plan column and the fact that it says 30 datastreams. Iâm sorry, but I interpreted this and your words that saidâŠ
to mean that you were specifically referring to the free plan features when you said this. Apologies for the misunderstanding.
Pete.
Missed that one i think,
I am following this topic from the start, but somehow i overlooked that post, my mistake and thanks for pointing it out.
For the second part no worries, i should have pointed it out somewhat clearer.
However, i am still urging to buy the Plus Plan, but will wait to see if the 80 Datastreams will change to a lower amount before doing so.
Pete.
Iâm using Blynk for years. Now Iâm testing Virtuino IoT and it is a god alternative.
The widgets are ugly
And there is no dashboard .
The annual cost of the plus plan, which I have, is also less than a Home Assistant Nabu Casa subscription. I think the plus plan is good value for money and integrated with Node-RED provideds a very powerful and reliable system. The forums are a good source of help too.
Dear Blynk,
I understand that you need to generate profit, but you are changing the pricing too fast. I am using the blynk on my three home projects, garden sprinkler, swimming pool and aquarium control. I am not willing to pay 6USD per month. I paid for energy in the old version and promote your services within my community. Unfortunately right now I will stop to use at all and migrate to another platform and BLAIM all of that to bad service from Blynk. I also promote Blynk in my job and want to use it for two commercial projects, but now I have to recommend our company use another service. Sorry Blynk your business strategy is not what I like it.
Have a good day and less custommers
Effettivamente mi sembra un po esagerato questa restrizione a 10 datatstreem
Anchâio ho pagato energia e andata perduta e ho dovuto migrare i progetti blynk 2.0 e adesso riducono datatstreem, Ăš ora di pensare a unâalternativa a Blynk!Bisogna almeno permette di fare un uso free piĂč agevole!
Hi, what alternative plattform you use now?
You should look at the Arduino Cloud pricing.
To get what Blynkâs free plan will offer at the end of the month (2 devices and 10 datastreams/variables) youâll need to pay $1.99 per month (but you canât actually pay it monthly, thatâs the monthly equivalent when you pay annually).
Suddenly Blynk doesnât look so bad, does it?
Pete.
Thats a relief, Thank you.
Maybe a cheap plan that is exactly the same that just remove the add every time we open the app? Maybe with 15 datastreams. I am sure blynk will still make money and they were talking about regional price plans a while ago, are they still looking at that as an option?
If youâre talking about advertising pop-ups then Blynk have been quite categoric about this in the past - it wonât happen.
Trying to sell the advertising, and making it region and language specific is far more effort than the revenue it generates, especially given the relatively small numbers of Blynk users compared to say FaceBook or YouTube.
Pete.
