Blynk Console locks if navigated away from?

At home it’s ok (ADSL)
I just tried at office (fiber)
it takes 45 sec to display the time and date and I can’t edit the dashboard
ping is ok

Hello @Blynk_Coeur. We can’t reproduce your bugs. There were slightly different errors. We are preparing a deployment, but I’m not sure when it will be, before the New Year or after. But I hope your issues will be fixed.

Any word on when we can expect the next deployment to fix this issue? As it is, the console software does not allow Real-Time monitoring of data for more than 5 minutes or so.

Hello @johnt60. Last deploy all servers was January 8, 2024.
We fixed many similar bugs.
But such errors are very specific and require detailed reproduction steps.

clear the cache in your browsers, update your browsers to the latest versions and restart your browsers. And then check if your bugs have been fixed.

If not fixed, then detailed information and steps to reproduce are needed.

Need information:

  1. Full browser version.
  2. OS.
  3. What widgets in dashboard.
  4. Hardware model and sketchs.
  5. Steps to reproduce.
  6. Screenshots of the dashboard and video recording of reproducing the bug (you can attach a link with your video from file hosting)

Sorry, but these are specific errors. We spent a lot of time investigating these bugs. In order for us to help in such cases, we need exact reproduction steps and additional information which was described above.

My system:

  • Macbook Pro (i7)
  • OS: 11.7.10
  • Safari Versie 16.6.1 (16615.3.12.11.5, 16615)

My HW:

  • 8 devices, a mix of ESP8266 and ESP32.

Power and screen settings of macbook: default settings

sequence of events:

  • open blynk console and show the dashboard of any device
  • close the lid of the macbook and wait one hour
  • open de lid of the macbook and login, the previous dashboard is displayed as it was before the one hour wait.
  • click on another device to show it’s dashboard.
  • the next screen is as shown below. It stays like that forever or until you hit the reload button of the browser.

This behaviour is fully reproducible, in fact it happens every time.

That’s how it’s always worked for me on a Windows machine running Chrome, or an iPad running Safari or Chrome.

I assume it’s because the session cookie needs to be refreshed to re-authenticate the user, but that’s just a guess.
Personally, it’s no big deal to refresh the browser.

Facing the somewhat same issue, Win 10 Chrome browser.
But here in my case refresh the page does’nt work.

I’ve to close the page and then click on new web page

No news? no update ?
Blynk console is too slow, too long to display all widgets, too long to enter edit mode
since Nov 23, 2023. " Console navigation improved" :rofl:
Maybe a problem with French server fra1 ?
It seems that using Microsoft Edge is a little faster than using Firefox, but not as fast as before.
The android app works well .

Hello @Blynk_Coeur. Unfortunately, we can not reproduce it. Perhaps you have a problem with your Internet provider

I have 2 different internet providers, and 2 technologies :
Internet at home is ADSL
Internet at office is Fiber
I don’t know what to investigate to solve this bug

@Blynk_Coeur Please record a video from your web console. Behavior on the device dashboard.
Please find a program in the Internet for recording video from the screen.
And add a link from the file hosting. The video should not be in JIF format. Need high quality video.

  • What PC hardware do you have?
  • How many realtime updates does your hardware send per second, per minute?
  • What OS do you have? Did you try chrome? What exact version of Edge do you have?
  • Do you open this device view from the search?
  • If you refresh the page when you’re on it. Does it improve things?

I just opened your dashboard it works like super-puper fast. Very strange.
