Widget Number Limit Removed!

Does the widget limit issue persist after creating new template?

I did not try recently to create a new template, but the limit on existing template is still there

If I duplicate the template having the limit, I get a new template with same limit issue

Creating a template from blank and adding 255 widgets to check limit is a pain, tell me if it is really needed ?

I meant any widgets. For example, a button widget.

Ok I started a new template from blank, added 251 button widgets and reached the limit

@brunog We have 255 server widgets limit per template. I personally recalculated using the widget button as an example.

Regarding your problem with the template. Perhaps when you edited the template simultaneously on Android and iOS applications, some widgets overlapped.
I think you need to carefully check your template and count the widgets in all places of the template

Thatā€™s not what the announcement saidā€¦

Unlimited doesnā€™t mean 255 in my world!

Yes I found 4 other widgets on iOS since I started to copy them from an iPhone before continuing on an android bigger screen
templates are not synchronized since device is not online (I suppose)
so there is a total of 251 + 4 = 255 widgets
I do agree with Pete, widget limit is still not clear : the limit is removed within the limit of 255, or the limit is removed without limit ?

@brunog
255 widgets limit per template for any plan (FREE/MAKER10/MAKER20 and all PRO plans) and for Mobile app and Web console.

Sorry for the misunderstanding in this post.

Could you clarify EXACTLY what this means?
Can we have 255 widgets on the mobile app dashboard and another 255 widgets on the web console dashboard in any given template, or is it a total of 255 across all dashboards? - i.e 155 on the mobile app and another 100 on the web console?

Pete.

@PeteKnight Yes. I meant this.

Hi all,

We apologize for the confusion caused by this communication. The 255 widgets is a system limit which has not been encountered in practical use case scenarios before. As Oleksii mentioned earlier, the plan-based limitation has been removed, meaning there is now no widget limitation based on your subscription plan as it was before.

Have a great day everyone and thanks for your understanding.

Ok thatā€™s clear now, in this case it would be great :

  • to have a widget counter per device and dashboard type somewhere
  • to have the decoration widgets (not connected to datastream) not to be counted against the widget limit
    by the way, Iā€™m glad to be the first use case to reach the limit
