Yes that has solved the problem. I think I first noticed it was fixed about Aug 23,2016. It has worked as expected - ie not reverting to some old mystery value - ever since. I’m not sure if the version of the blynk app matters or if the fix was in the cloud side of things. But the version of blynk app I’m running now is 2.7.4, and this problem doesn’t manifest.
