In less than 48 hours since powering the device on for the first time I have gotten it up and running locally to monitor current and control a relay. The Particle IDE has an output log that is visible as part of their IDE website it shows the current and the state of the relay. They don’t have sketches like Arduino they have “apps”. I am pretty sure I prefaced this thread by saying I know very very little about programming. This is the first time I have attempted anything like this in 12 years. I was really hoping people would be more encouraging here.
Believe me (or just read around all the topics here), EVERYONE says “help I am not a programmer”… it is almost a meaninless cry for handouts by some.
Anyhow… if you are really only 48 hours into this, then perhaps you should have led with that, not a ambitious “I want to monitor my electric car” routine.
Sorry I don’t speak Particle… personally I tried it and found if MORE complicated than Arduino IDE. But besides that…
IF you have the Blynk libraries properly loaded, and I am beginning to think you don’t… then once you have loaded/uploaded/downloaded/installed/etc your program/app/sketch into your Photon, and it starts trying to connect to your WiFi network… it will also probably be trying to display its progress on the serial monitor/displaythingy/crystal ball or whatever Particle uses
If any of that is happening… what does it say?

I am volunteering assistance, not hand holding or therapy (ok, perhaps a bit of therapy is needed… but more for my needs
) … otherwise you would still be waiting a first answer.
The Photon is connected to my wifi. Within a few hours of powering it on I had the current monitor working and outputting to the Particle console logs. I am also able to turn a relay on/off by flashing different states to the relay board via the particle IDE. I however have been unsuccessful to get the blynk code to work and have it currently removed. If you don’t have experience with Particle or the devices I listed above then why comment?
I am not looking for handouts I am looking for useful advice/directions from someone that has experience with the devices I am using.
A quick search on the forums suggests no one has used this particular setup.
I think you should take 100 steps back and get a simple Blynk PushData example working on your photon. Unplug the modules for now.
Please post a screenshot of your mobile device with the PushData example running and showing the “uptime” of the photon.
With the experience and knowledge I do have… even chronically exhausted, I would have a Photon and all those sensors, relays and more… up and running in 30 mins or less, or the pizza is free. So sorry I couldn’t get through to you, but you are back on your own and at the mercy of the next volunteer.
