Upgrading your Blynk account to a new Free plan via Blynk.Console

Hi,
I have two very old Blynk accounts: one allows 10 Datastreams, while the other only allows 5.
I’d like to upgrade the account with 5 Datastreams to the new Blynk Free plan, but unfortunately, to do so I’d have to delete it and recreate it from scratch. However, this would also require reflashing the firmware on all connected devices, which is quite inconvenient.

It would be very helpful if Blynk added a button on Blynk.Console to directly upgrade the old Free plans to the new rules, without having to create a new account from scratch.

P.S. Of course, the old Free plans are better because they don’t have message limits. However, in my case, consumption is very low, and by upgrading to the new plan, I could increase the number of devices and Datastreams available.

Hello @seby. There is no way to change the plan version. You need to create new separate FREE acc.

What a shame, thanks :+1:

Blynk provide the free account “for exploration” as opposed to it being for long-term use.
Obviously many people do use the free account in the way you are, especially now that the Maker account has been removed, but it’s not surprising that they don’t provide a way of switching between the old and new free accounts.
