I know it is not the topic of Blynk but, since the power requirements of nodeMCU 3,3 v, does it accept the 5v as a lojic level 1? is it dangerous for it? Or should we give it 1 3,3v.?
Thanks.
There is a mixed camp about it it all… technically all ESP GPIO’s are rated to 3.3v MAX… but there is a possibility that most will, at least with very low current input, handle 5v for an indeterminable time before possible failure (some say always, but then some also abuse their car/health/relationships/technology/etc. and often those keep running as well… until suddenly they don’t )
I feel it is best to err on the side of caution and use one of the many ways of reducing the 5v signals down to 3.3v… level shifters, simple current limiting resistor, voltage divider (as shown below), etc… you can Google those to get further details.
Thank you very much for your help…
İf you take less current from (the 3,3v) output it works.
I would use the pir output as an input for nodeMCU. I have discovered the high level of pir is 3.3v, so no need to decrease the voltage level. The problem solved…
