Hoooowwwwever… If you’d like to put on the big-boys pants and sit at the grown ups table, I urge you to reconsider the use of rc.local or crontab. It’s an obsolete and inferior way to make a service up and running.

Today rc.local is more or less obsolete and replaced by systemd in most Linux distribution. As from Ubuntu 16 (I think) rc.local is not enabled by default. You will actually have to run it as a systemd service if you decide to enable it So, a brief tutorial coming up! Open up a terminal window on your system. This actually confuses me! Unless you map IPv4 to IPv6 this shouldn’t work?!? Or are the ::: representing *.*.*.* IP’s? I don’t have a Linux system available to me at the moment so I can’t check myself
