Would it be possible to remove the “OFF” text from the button widget when the PUSH function is selected. “OFF” is misleading when you are using the button as a momentary contact switch and toggling an output under software control.
As an added benefit, it would be nice to have the colour ring change colour in response to an input. That would save having to use an LED widget to give status feedback to the user.
Hello. This is already implemented and will be in next 1.10.4 release. Stay tuned!

Thanks Dmitriy. Were you expecting that release end of next week?
It would be nice to have an option for confirmation of action on button in switch mode.
In my case, I use button as On/Off switch of my pellet stove. If I accidentally press button, stove would start turning off procedure. I think that would be nice to have a confirmation like “Are you sure you want to do that and that?” and when user confirms then switch change state. I hope you understand what I mean.
can’t you soft code that?
your code is the most important tool in preventing unwanted actions - this is one of the most important things in using code to control very dangerous (and not so dangerous) things.
fail-safes.
and protecting fail-safes with other fail -safes…
i mean, if you accidently press the button, could you not also accidentally press the confirmation button?
(EDIT _ obviously a burning fire failing to an “off” state is a fail ‘safe’ i guess, unless it needed to be on to keep people from freezing to death, but yeah…)
