Reconfigure option Unavailable in App

I’m unable to reconfigure a device using Android devices S21+ and S23. There’s no reconfigure tab to begin the process. I’ve logged in with an IOS device and the reconfigure option is available.

Is the device running an Edgent sketch? If not then you can’t reconfigure the device without uploading a new sketch to it.

If it’s running an Edgent sketch but is offline (as the screenshot seems to indicate) then you can’t put it into provisioning mode from the app, because the app can’t communicate with the device as it’s offline.

If it’s running an Edgent sketch and offline then you’ll manually have to press and hold the button you defined in the Edgent Settings.h tab for 10 seconds, or until the LED you defined in Settings.h blinks rapidly to indicate that it’s in provisioning mode.
At that point, you’ll be able to re-provision the device from a mobile device that is within WiFi range and running the Blynk app (and logged-in to your Blynk account of course).

Hello Pete, the issue is the reconfigure app not being available in the blynk app. The firmware is an edgent sketch and the reconfigure option should be available for the user. I have the reconfigure option when signed in on an IOS device, so it seems to be related to Android devices only.

It would have been useful if you’d stated that up-front.

I suggest you share which versions of the iOS and Android apps you currently have installed.

It would help if you also said whether the device is online or not, and what happens if you choose the Reconfigure option in the iOS app.

My initial post stated the option was available in iOS and not Android. A picture was uploaded showing the available choices missing the reconfigure option. It was stated upfront initially, but you somehow missed it.

Reconfigure is available if the device has been added via provisioning (has not empty hotspot name meta field) or if the user is the developer. Can you confirm that it is one of these two cases?
