Random Wifi drop after some time followed by Reboot

Hi, I am using Nodemcu v1 ESP-12E to read values from a pzem module and a DHT-11 sensor and virtual writing them. But then after a while the logs shows that its disconnected from wifi and its trying to connect to blynk cloud. It does this for a while and gets reset (rst cause 4).I cant seem to figure out what i am doing wrong here. Wifi strength is locked at -43dbm, so no idea why it gets disconnected and doesnt attempts to reconnect. Also sometimes it says "No buf for action frame " repeatedly in logs , i guess its packet loss?

I have increased the Timer interval in the code, it was 1000L before. i thought maybe it was too much for the board to send.

This may be the issue.

It seems that your device is having a problem resolving the Blynk cloud server at times.
Maybe you should specify the IP address of 188.166.206.43 directly:

Blynk.begin(AUTH, WIFI_SSID, WIFI_PASS), "188.166.206.43", 8080;

You could also comment-out the timers one at a time to see if one of the functions is the culprit.
I’d also avoid having timers that try to call functions at exactly the same time (every 2 and 5 seconds). Stagger them a little.

Yes…

I saw that lookup error happens only at startup when I use Wifi.begin instead of Blynk.begin. Its because blynk tries to connect without first waiting for wlan. After wlan gets connected the blynk runs fine for a while but then after that “No buf for action frame” shows up. And eventually sometimes it doesn’t reconnects to wifi.

So are you saying that this debug output wasn’t produced by the code that you posted?

I don’t think the issue has anything to do with the use of pin D3 (GPIO0). If this was being pulled LOW at startup by your relay then your code wouldn’t run at all.

No, i meant that log includes one reset as you can see “wdt reset” rst cause :4. so it started up again with WIfi.begin. i replaced that with Blynk.begin ,that solved the lookup error on startup but still my main issue persists, random “no buf for action frame” shows up and eventual reboot/ wifi Discconect

I don’t see any Wifi.begin in your code, so I don’t understand your comment.

Have you tried any of the things I suggested?

Pardon my late reply. I have limited reply as i am new to this forum. Staggered the timers so that it won’t run functions at same time, need to let it run for a while as the error happens quite randomly. Will post log if it occurs

It happened again after i let it run over night, saw logs in the morning.it was still running ,though seeing logs , it had a quite big downtime trying to connect to blynk cloud
