Platform API

Hello Blynk team,
The PRO plan allows up to 200 devices or 500 users.
don’t you think the PRO plan should at least provide access to the platform API? it’s a serious limitation to manage so many objects manually when deployment is considered.
Please do not respond to consider the ENTERPRISE plan because:

  • The price of the ENTERPRISE plan is secret, which suggests that it is not affordable.
  • The PRO plan is already quite expensive and hard to make it profitable for subscribers
  • there is no API in the ENTERPRISE plan to create/edit templates

The more I use the PRO plan the more I find it not PRO, but MAKER.
Your opinion would be appreciated
Thank you
Bruno

Hi Bruno,

As of today, platform API is only available in Enterprise plan. We might consider enabling it for PRO accounts with some limitations , but there is no ETA for that.

Hello. Just to be clear. I currently have a maker subscription (now not available) and I have access to and use the API calls. Are you saying this is now no longer available in the current subscriptions unless one were to get on board with the enterprise subscription?

They’re talking about APIs that relate to the underlying Blynk platform, to do things like create devices via an API call.

Pete.

Thanks Pete. Still there I see

Hi Pavlo,
I’m sorry to insist but PRO account seriously lacks of PRO features, such as :

  • API full acces
  • templates cloning
  • developpers access rules
  • save/restore templates
  • more device/users analytics

and some others features we could discuss.
I feel like a MAKER user forced to pay for a PRO account for the same thing.
PRO account seems to be huge compared to the ex-MAKER account (devices, users, datastreams…) but it does not provide more tools to use it.
Please think about it before it is not too late for me an maybe some others, or risk users to use FREE or PRO accounts for a limited time of POC or fast prototyping before moving to other systems for production.
thank you
Bruno

Hello.

this should be fixed with the recently released dashboards.
