i think that they should add a feature to the app that allows you to upload images, gif’s and stuff to a lcd matrix

That has already been suggested on the Roadmap page… over a week ago… still awaiting approval I guess 
Add your own idea there…
We are working on new image widget, but we will release it after several nearest optimizations/improvements releases.

You are correct… I see it (and my pet peeve font fix, thank you!) under the PLANNED tab… I didn’t notice the grey on grey tabs right away 
will you be able to upload gif’s and stuff?
You can implement GIF uploads by means of virtual pins
and you just set the virtual pin to the pin you set to the arduino, like Digital 1
and do i need to define the pin in the code?
