Major problem I have is that I do not live in the house but apartment so my garage is not part of my household but is maybe 30m from my apartment. That means I do not have wifi conneciton here. I tried if I have signal from 433MHz transmitter, but unfortunatelly not. 2,4GHz transmitter is not a an option I guess because the distance is to far and I would have wfi signal in the garage, because it is the same band
I would expect sensor sends data to controller in garage and from there to my appartment when it connect to wifi and sends it to Blynk server? Or is there better way?
What sensors to use for transmitting data? xBee or some equivalent? Of course I want to do it as simple and cheap as possible but, also full working.
The project with already code and connection description is more then appreciated as I am not so into this coding stuff
do any of your neighbors live near the garage? If so, see if you get their WiFi in the garage and then your all set. If not, you might be able to run 2 wires from a reed switch at the garage door along the trim in the building into your apartment where you could have the rest of the board, though not optimal. Another (but a little more expensive) route would be a power line Ethernet injector to get an Ethernet port down there where you could eith plug the board in directly or put in another WiFi access point. Hope I could help
If you have mains power in the garage then as @benjocaz45 says a powerline adaptor would be my first preference.
If you do have mains power but a powerline adaptor doesn’t work (maybe the mains circuits are too well isolated from each other) then I’d start to look at a Lora transmitter/receiver connected to an MPU at each end. You could potentially power this solution from batteries as well, but it would be a bit of a pain to get the power management working effectively.
unfortunatelly no neightboor with wifi or any other connection.
Also electricity is independant to my apartment, so powerline is also not an option. @Gunner - do you mean these antennas could be connect to some wifi module and allow me to connect to my home wifi? I can not believe this is possible and my home signail is reachable in the garage, or did I misunderstood you?
