I don’t even know what to say. I’m a graduate student and I was using maker plan to develop a engineering project. I was dividing its price with a friend and both of us were making diferent projects. BUT SUDDENLY without even give me a warning, maker plan is gone and my only option is to sign the pro which costs 99USD? My friend presented his project last week using maker plan, I was going to present my next week and now I have no idea of what to do, that’s a lack of respect with me, I can’t present using free plan because I’m using pro widgets on it, I’m really disappointed I don’t know what I’m about to do and Blynk doesn’t give free plan clients support or a channel to talk or negociate it.
This is a situation that many people have found themselves in.
Of course, a company that respects its status and its clients could not allow such changes without warning all clients in advance.
But Blynk made exactly this decision.
Well, we draw conclusions and look for ways out of this situation.
Don’t expect anything from Blynk. As a reaction on the many remarks on this subject, they already “silently” removed a chat on the subject. It looks as if they are not willing to have any discussion at all.
you Maker plan should still work
Fell your pain. I was in the same situation. I was going to show a project for my boss that could help us but the maker plan was gone.
I deleted every that had something to do with Blynk and moved to Arduino IoT Cloud.
It was pretty easy to move the project to the other platform also you actually have a support who contact about problems.
They even send out a news update about changes and updates, and maintenance.
Actually I had problems with a widget that suddenly didn’t work. I contacted the support about it and they fixed it rather quick.
What I wish from leaving Blynk is for some extra customization options and more widgets.
