LTE CAT M1 (LTE-M) - What modems are people currently using

Hello Blynk Friends!

I’m currently trying to identify a new cellular modem to work with for my upcoming Blynk projects. Previously I’ve worked with the Nimbelink (not the most convenient) and many of the GSM 3G modems using the TinyGSM libraries. As most of the cellular providers are phasing out 2G/3G support for my preferred modems I’m looking for recommendations of what others have used to jump into the world of LTE CAT M1 (LTE-M) modems.

The primary modem (and board) I’ve identified is the Particle.io Boron LTE CAT-M1 with the Nordic nRF52840 modem. This is a workable option for me, but I would also love to find the modem on a breakout board that I could swap out with many of the existing boards I’ve already developed  .

I’m curious what modems and configurations others have had success working with.

Thanks,
Craig
