Local server install on Pi 2

I am coming back to Blynk after a long break. I have the latest update to java on my Pi2 and the blynk server wont run

What server version do you have? This is the latest one for raspberry pi - https://github.com/blynkkk/blynk-server/releases/download/v0.35.3/server-0.35.3-java8.jar

Java 8 version of server-0.36.0.jar is not yet available.

Follow this guide to install the Liberica Java 10 JRE and then you’ll be able to run the latest server versions.

But will the email function work with that install? So far not - Java 10 Local Server - RPi problems

It doesn’t :frowning:

Then I wouldn’t recommend it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Yes there are workarounds for the Auth… relatively easy to copy/paste, particularly when using the RPi for both Server and Client… but no other sketch based email function works either, so that might limit usability.

@scargill Stick with the Java 8 Server version for now… no other difference in functionality as far as I have tested.

Added -java8 version - https://github.com/blynkkk/blynk-server/releases/tag/v0.36.1
