@Gunner, you got a printer too?

Um, yes, a Canon inkjet… but not in this picture… or are you seeing something that looks like a printer?

A man after my own heart. You can never have enough Sharpies!

Pete.

I thought the red case was a printed case from a 3D printer. I read in another thread/post you mentioned you’re a tech geek, well I have to ask how on earth you manage without a 3D printer?:man_technologist:

I see, no, that RPi its case and the PiCam was from a Canadian sale promotion (hence the red case)… one that I was able to take advantage of as I was doing an RPi project for a family member… thus I got free Pi

Unfortunately I am a tech geek with health issues that severely reduced my finances… right now even a couple of extra ESPs are out of my reach :frowning: But one day… yes, a 3D printer is on my wish list.

There’s a lot of low end Chinese printers is the $150 range that are good enough to print their own upgrades to make them print better. If you are mechanically inclined and and scrape up about $200, I suggest a Tevo Tarantula (or any “i3” clone kit).

We use the I3 clone (Anet A6) at the model railroad club. It’s a very satisfactory experience I must admin, after my own debacle with a Da Vinci (three times the prices, but also three times as suck).

Blasphemy!! Thou shalt not use such a slow device as a NAS  it lacks gigabit ethernet

From what i’ve gathered, the Anet is slightly better than a Tarantula. Lord knows I hate the guide wheels and wish it had slide bearings. Our extrusions are T shaped and cut into the V wheels in short order. Still, I fought my way through most of the weaknesses with upgrades and have a pretty decent printer. I also have my eye on this cheap starter cube. Those are are a lot more solid in design.

Make sure You run as administrator!
