I am a senior hardware / firmware developer for a company that develops clean energy systems using Hydrogen https://ahtgroup.co.uk/ . We are looking into using blynk as a server for the IOT dashboards. I have a requirement to connect WiFi and GSM as a backup.
I have had a look at the code for the multiclient and unfortunately couldn’t get it to run. My question is - is this possible with blynk and what support is available to evaluate the connections?
What I have done is connected to blynk through TinyGsm using SSL - SARAR4
Connected to blynk through WiFi using SSL - ESP-S3
Connected to blynk by adding the WiFi through the multiclient using SSL
What fails is connecting TinyGsm through the multiclient either on SSL or port 80.
We are just evaluating blynk at the moment but so far it looks great.
At the moment, my boss is asking for a demo mid-late April and I have previously had everything work on GSM. He has now asked me to put this on WiFi with a GSM fallback for this new demo, so I had just entered static details for this. Ultimately, all of our products will be on Edgenet because it better fits the new IoT standard EN 303645.
I did look into Edgenet a while ago and couldn’t see such a shared provisioning at the time. Perhaps I missed it.
I have managed to buy some time with the boss - he said that WiFi would be OK for now, but he would like to see both run before any decisions are made with respect to providers.
