I also facing a problem about esp8266-01 very unstable connection with blynk. Most of time unable be connected. I had tried too the esp8266 powered by external supply source , not from arduino board, the problem still accur. May i know which firmware did you changed? I would like to try you that firmware see whether would be stable connected.
