Do automations trigger if device is offline?

I have some tasks I would like to move to automations (lights on\off etc). Are these stored locally like a lot of IoT devices and run if no connection to the internet\blynk?

Great - I should be able to move over once that’s done.

This post is about 1yr old so just wondering if offline automation is implemented now and if not when should we expect it.
