Damaged PIR sensor over time

I have a generic PIR sensor which works seamlessly for some months but after that, it starts detecting motion when there is no motion at all. I have set the pir sensor to continuous detection mode, on full sensitivity and time delay of 30 second.

What is the component that get gets damaged over time in the pir sensor? I want to replace that component if possible instead of just replacing the whole sensor.
