Blynk template/ libraries for esp32 core 3.x?

Coming back after a year away, it seems we still need to use esp32 core 2.x.
Some 3.x can be used if we include WiFi.h and update the lcdsetup.

Is there any guidance as to the recommended strategy, remain on old core or use 3.x and fix the issues on the Blynk templates as they arise?

No problem with the latest stable release of the ESP32 Arduino core is version 3.3.2.
