Blynk on android 4.1.1

Need Help With My Project

I have just resurrected an old 7" tablet with android 4.1.1 (slidepad704CE) :smile:
does anyone know how to install blynk?
google play tells me that I need version 4.2, but there is no upgrade or custom rom for this tablet. :persevere::sob:

yes I dowloaded the apk but I get “a problem has occurred”
I think it’s because Blynk needs android 4.2

Ah I see. I haven’t played around with android for a long time. Is the device rooted? Sometimes you can change the build of or number in build.prop which can sometimes trick the apk into thinking it’s a newer device.

Other than that, without editing the apk and altering the android manifest file which again I haven’t done for a while I’m not 100%.

If you are going to root then maybe you could find a custom rom on a newer version? Can run the official apk then :wink:

I’m afraid I can’t find, I searched on Google, there is no custom rom for that cheap tablet.

I’m afraid that tablet is as useful as a chocolate teapot!
If it works, it will be reeeeeeeally slow…

The letters often refer to regional variations that often relate to things like the type of plug on the charger and the language on the packaging.
