Blynk app reverted to old one now can't connect

A strange thing happened. My blynk app reverted to a previous configuration today. It was the configuration from yesterday. The changes were minor so that isn’t a big deal but it won’t connect to the photon now. The auth code is still the same. I used it this morning and all was OK. an hour later it said “particle photon off line”. I had made no changes to it.
I tried using the latest version of Blynk, 0.3.8 but no help. Any ideas?

Hello, yes, this is blynk server bug. Quick fix would be - ping blynk-cloud.com from network where your hardware is. Take IP and put it in mobile app. That’s it. Sorry fro inconveniences.

I tried it and it didn’t work.
Here is what I did:
ping www.blynk-cloud.com
It replied, pining www.blynk-cloud.com [54.200.1.15]
The request timed out four times and gave me the statistics for [54.200.1.15]
100 % lost

I assumed 54.200.1.15 is the right IP address but the server is rejecting the ping so I entered the [54.200.1.15] into my mobile device but it won’t connect. It eventually says "Sorry server can’t talk now. Try later.

Is the server down?
Where do I go from here?

Problem solved.
I should not have used the prefix www.
