Hello!
I’m running 4.4.2 Android and “1.0 RC7 fix”. Since a few updates ago I noticed my battery draining overnight from a full charge.
I’ve tracked it down to the blynk app; to repeat:
-
Verify Blynk app not running, i.e. not in app list and I use “The Cleaner” app is identify the blynk process is not running in background.
-
Plug in charger (my phone starts WiFi when charging and connects to an available AP).
-
Let charge indicator come on, then unplug charger.
-
Using “The Cleaner” app, you’ll notice Blynk process has been launched.
-
If you don’t kill it, my battery drains very fast. If I kill it with The Cleaner, battery drains returns to normal.
…let me know if I can provide any other info. Blynk has been fun!
Thanks!

Any word on this? …it seems like anytime WiFi is stopped and started the app launches? …then drains battery.
If I uninstall the App, then reinstall it at a future time, will my app settings be retained upon login with my credentials (key, etc…?
Thanks!

…this is not fixed; I installed the latest updated App. I haven’t “plugged in” my blynk device since I’ve encountered the battery drain issue.
…please let me know if I can give you any further details.
I don’t see any major lib updates on Github that would fix this, however I will apply the latest lib to see if it helps!
-Thanks!
