Account Help with new free plan changes

Edit: Solved

Greetings everyone,

For many years, my home and student projects have been significantly limited by the conditions of Blynk’s Free Plan.

I first discovered Blynk back in 2018 and shifted to a Blynk 2.0 account in 2021 (if I recall correctly) and have since experienced several free plan policy changes. For example, the maximum number of datastreams was reduced from 30 to 10, other examples of making features paid when previously was free.

I don’t mean to sound ungrateful in any way. As a student, I’m truly thankful for the opportunity to use such a powerful tool at no cost. Blynk has played a big role in helping me learn and grow in IoT and programming

The issue I am having is my account isn’t reflecting the new free plan changes. Particularly the max device limit. Currently my account is restricted to a maximum of 2 devices. However today I noticed that the current Free Plan allows up to 10 devices and 10 templates, yet my account is still limited to 2 devices and 3 templates.

I would like to kindly request if an admin could update my account to reflect the current Free Plan limits. This change would greatly support my continued learning and experimentation with IoT and programming.

Thank you for your time and support.

You’ll need to create a new free account to benefit from these changes. However, the new account you create will also be limited to 30,000 messages per month.
Depending on how you use Blynk, this may be a significant drawback, especially if you add more devices.

Pete.

Thank you Pete for your response,
I admit that I did not take the 30K message limit into consideration and misunderstood what it meant. As you mentioned that would be a drawback, even to my current two devices and will just stick to my current account with the 2 device limit.
Cheers!

Hello Pete,
I have the same issue. Is there any way to salvage all my work to this point before I create a new account?

Posting the same question in multiple topics isn’t a good way to get a proper response.

No, there is no way to transfer your setup between accounts. You would need to manually recreate your templates, devices, and dashboards in the new account.

However, before you do that, do you fully understand the implications of the 30,000 messages per month limit that the new account will have?

Pete.
