Tried searching and didn’t see anything but after updating my app the device portion says Arduino Uno when I had set it to NodeMCU (It is a NodeMCU). It still works fine but I went to change it to the correct name and it said all widget data would be deleted ( I do not really want to have to go back through all my widgets and set them). Has anyone else had this issue?
If you are ever going to use any of the pins on the ESP then you should change from Arduino sooner rather than later. It doesn’t take to long to reconfigure the widgets and generally it’s not all of them.
Anyone who changes devices will experience this, I certainly have … but it is NOT a bug or issue; every device may have differing pin numbering, functions etc… thus the need to reset the affected pins when changing devices (and I believe it only clears out the physical pin setting… all virtual pins retained). The key is don’t change the device very often
I didn’t change devices though, it has always been a NodeMCU it appears to have been automatically changed after app update. I think I will bite the bullet and go with Costas suggestion
