Widget locks or PIN access

I’ve read a thread from 2016 about locking widgets so that values can’t be changed without permission. Has any more thought been given to either providing PIN access to Tabs or specific widgets so that parameters (such as set points) cannot be easily (or inadvertently) changed? A keypad can be made from buttons, which could be used to hide/unhide a Tab or enable/disable a Widget (or a dedicated Keypad Widget could be provided for security purposes). I’m inclined to think that hiding a Tab or Menu lines would be a good idea as it can’t be viewed except by an authorised person.

What methods do people use currently to provide protection against inadvertent setting changes?
