i’m currently in the process of buying solar for my diy motorhome. i decided to buy victron mppt 150/35 controller, because of the good price/features ratio and the “open mindeness” of the company:
they offer some nice insight into the communication protocol and data flow. it should be quite simple to hack this thing with an esp and integrate into blynk.
anyone has some experience with these solar controllers?
While I use a raspberry pi based solution with their Venus OS to remotely monitor and manager my MPPT, BMV-712 and also Inverter/Charger, that’s as far as I’ve gone. I would like to make use of the victron MQTT server within the Venos OS to send certain values to my Blynk app. Have you learned more since your post a (couple years ago)?
