Terminal data is not persisted across Blynk app restarts

Hi there,

I know this has been discussed before, but my situation is a bit different. I’ve been using Blynk since the free version, then the Energy Plan, and now I’m on a legacy plan that’s no longer available.

My question is about the Terminal widget. I’ve enabled History and set it to sync with the latest server value on device connection. However, every time I close and reopen the Blynk app, the terminal only shows a few recent lines — not the full history that was there before. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
Alex

Note that the terminal display is cleared with every app refresh for Free plan.

With Plus plan the widget stores up to 10 lines of historical data. It stores up to 25 lines with the PRO plan.

Energy was a feature of the original (now referred to as Legacy) Blynk system which was retired in 2023. I assume that you are using the Maker plan?

Hi Pete,

Thank you for your reply. I understand the limitation of the Terminal.

If only!
I was 56 when you joined this Blynk forum, I joined just over a year later.

But, I don’t see how the google sheets screenshots you’ve posted are relevant to your Terminal widget issues.

You know man, I don’t find you being a friendly dude in this forum. By telling me that you don’t see the relationship between the Terminal Limitations and the screenshots I posted, I find it very rude. In my opinion, you should not be responding to questions posted in this forum, especially from paying folks like me.

All I was trying to indicate was the route I took to get around the limitation of the Terminal, and hopefully motivate other Blynk users to do the same.

That’s fine. Feel free to ignore my comments. I’ll make sure not to respond to any of your future posts.

Pete.
