Update - Had to manually delete the data folder and restart to reflect changes
I had been using the admin panel present in localhost:9443/admin,had earlier set admin username/password for admin.email=my custom email address
admin.pass=alphanumeric pass in server.properties page, it was working perfectly well earlier,but recently after upgrade on entering the username and password I am not able to login to admin page and the page will remain there, checked the server.properties page it did contained the admin email&password I had set earlier
