Shield info

Hi,

Total newbie to Blynk.
I have an Arduino project done with bare paint that I want to try and visualise and collect info online somehow.

I simply have an Arduino UNO and breadboard, I want to use blynk and get the Arduino sketch connected online;

1- Do I need to buy a shield, if so is it best to connect via ethernet or wi-fi? id rather do it via Wifi.

This Wifi shield - https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoWiFiShield
Arduino says is discontinued?

2 - is there any cables I need?

3- does the shield sit on top of the UNO or connected to it?

Any help appreciated.

Hi.

You could connect via USB.

It is up to you.

Yes

ok thanks for info, will give it a go via USB.
on the other hand this one ok for ethernet? - http://store.arduino.cc/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_5&products_id=199

and for Wifi the best u recommend? surely you want as many people to connect online as easily as possible and use your app?

Seems ok. But I’m not Ethernet/Wi-Fi Shield guru guy =), sorry.
