Raspberry pi server

I’ve just dug out a pi I had years ago and I would like to set it up as a local Blynk server.
The thing is I only ever used it with a prepared sd card so barely know what to do.
I know it’s lazy but I’d rather spend my time Blynking than learning how to set up the pi server. Has anyone done an instructable/simple steps or know a link to something like that. I’ve googled but found nothing :frowning:

There is nothing simpler than installing Blynk server on raspberry pi. https://github.com/blynkkk/blynk-server#quick-local-server-setup-on-raspberry-pi

sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-jdk
wget "https://github.com/blynkkk/blynk-server/releases/download/v0.15.2/server-0.15.2.jar"
java -jar server-0.15.2.jar -dataFolder /home/pi/Blynk

Thanks,I saw that and thought hmm looks like very simple commands but wouldn’t have a clue how to get them into the pi.
The last time I used it it was for xmbc tv streaming and it was just a downloaded copy of an already working sd card image.
As I said I’m being a bit lazy not wanting to use my Blynking time hoping someone could point to a step by step tutorial explaining which folders and files I need on the sd card etc

You need just to login to Rasp via SSH and copy/paste those lines. Nothing more

Thanks again but I clearly need to do some pi research as I wouldn’t have a clue what that means let alone know how to do it :joy::joy:.

I can highly suggest to start here: https://www.raspbian.org

It has all the needed information to get a simple Raspian installation going on.

@Dmitriy @Rob.b still has to install to the OS I think
