Questions, suggestions, and observations

Been playing around with Blynk on a Particle Photon for a bit now and want to offer he following observations, questions and suggestions:

  • A much larger display value widget would be very useful for text. Perhaps with additional formatting options.

  • The LCD widget would be improved if you could simply LF and let it scroll… with additional lines.

  • The ability to resize widgets would be great.

  • The ability to have somewhat finer control over widget placement would be great.

  • The ability to remove the background dots, and choose a background would be nice, including transparency for widgets, or skins.

  • The addition of an image widget would be great.

  • Is iOS going to be supported like Android? I see tons of Android updates and improvements, but little for iOS.

  • And iPad app would be way cool for building a large control panel.

  • I’d love to have a connection status widget.

  • on larger Value Display - there is a Labeled Value widget, which could be in full width of the screen, and it also supports some basic formatting of it’s value and text position.
  • on your comment about LCD - there is a Terminal widget, which works in that way you want the LCD widget to work as. The only issue - it’s text size is smaller than on LCD.
  • what do you mean in ‘somewhat finer control over widget placement’?
  • we have image widget in our plans, as well the support for widget’s resize.
  • on skins - they are currently supported, but only for some hardware models. in future there probably would be some theme selection option in the project’s settings

I’d love to see the full width Labeled Value Widget support multiple lines of text (even scrolling)

The widgets in iOS only allow placement 4 dots at a time. Single dot placement would be better.

Hi there!
Regarding skins, please, go ahead with this idea, the skin we use right now is really dark (for me at least)
The only option we have (at the moment) is to use local server and change at “Sparkfun theme” in admin configuration and this is not really friendly.
