Poor connection from China

I don’t know if this is an obvious problem. I’ve tried to create an account after I downloaded blynk, but the signup process return me “Something went wrong: kACNetworkManagerErrorDomanin -3”
This problem goes away after I connect to VPN but when I try to send my token via email the app seems can’t connect to the server again both with or without vpn connection

Just let you guys know about the server availability in China, i’m switching to a local server later, if I can figure out how to set it up, lol

@oursonvie

Could you please provide me with your login email, so I could check logs?

Also could you please out here result of “ping cloud.blynk.cc”

Thanks Dmitriy

Yeap, that’s the problem =(. Right now we hosted within 1 data center in NY. And didn’t build yet cross-geo infrastructure. You always could install local Blynk server, but this of course not the way it should be =). Let me think a bit how we could quickly resolve that.

no problem, thanks for the quick reply
furthermore, website hosting within China requires a ICP number, which is something like registration number for website, getting this ICP number requires a registered company in China, however i’ve heard if you don’t host a website (http, port 80), then you don’t need to get the ICP number. If you guys ever think about hosting in China, you might want to know something about is.

@oursonvie

I launched for you separate server “blynk-asia.cloudapp.net:8443”. It has separate DB, so you have to register again. You could test Blynk there. It will be your personal server =). But have in mind this is just temp solution until we’ll launch cross-geo support.

Please tell me what ping do you have there. Hope this helps!

Thanks Dmitriy this server works like a charm, but the emailing sending process still took a rather long time from my own perspective, but anyway I got the mail sent. I’ll try the app with the server you provided when I get back home and maybe compare the public and private server on the connectivity issue.

again, thanks, great help
