For the past 48 hours I have not been able to use Blynk. The app fails to connect to Blynk servers no matter what network I’m using (4G, home WiFi).
The app is the latest version for iOS I see in the store (released on Nov 4th). Tried reinstalling it and tried generating a new token. Both steps did not solve it.
Is there anything going on with the iOS version? Apparently everyone with Android seems to have it working much better.
Hello. We have a strange bug we didn’t catch yet. We only know that creating new account helps. Still trying to catch it. Also please provide me with your login account so I could check logs. Also what hardware do you use?
Thanks for the prompt reply. My login account is murilo.picanco@gmail.com and I run projects on 3 different types of hardware (Photon, Uno+WiFi and Yun) with the main project being on the Yun board.
The 3 boards connect to the server normally, but the phone App does not so I can’t operate the system. I’m on an iPhone6.
Thanks to your log file I was able to locate problem. Unfortunately fix is not easy. And will be deployed only in few days. If this is critical for you I may release a fix so you could use it within Local Blynk Server. Let me know in case you would like to get fix for Local Server right now. Sorry for inconveniences.
It is not critical at the moment so I am happy to wait for the new release. It this fix is released together with the History graph for iOS that will be even better
At the moment I am tinkering with applications that run on very low power consumption, meaning the hardware must sleep for most of the time and wake up once in a while to upload new values (Particle board, solar powered). Without the history App available, this becomes a bit of challenge so I need to store the past values elsewhere for the time being while you guys develop it.
Hope Apple does not complain about the App name next time and let’s you guys publish the update They are weird people sometimes.
