On Satellite, most of the time I either get login timeouts or repeated attempts to connect to cloud.blynk.cc with no luck. It occasionally works for short periods of time, but that is a rare surprise.

If I try on faster internet connection, things work ok, but I can only do this to test, not normal use.

Any suggestions? Maybe a timeout increase?
I tried increasing #define BLYNK_TIMEOUT_MS 2000UL in BlynkConfig.h up to 30000UL.
That didn’t seem to help.

Thanks for the hep,
John

Hello. Could you please try local server to check if problem goes away?

Hey @John , is it working?

Thank you for reply/ suggestion. Yes, problem goes away with local server. Ideally, I would like for it to work on cloud server so I can control from outside my private network.

Thank you for the help. I understand if we can’t make it work on cloud server over my slow connection,

If you have static IP you could setup port forwarding and your server will be accessible from outside private network.

@vshymanskyy is there any way to increase connection timeout?

Thanks for the port forwarding suggestion. Unfortunately, my ISP (Hughes net) has me behind a Double NAT/ CGN and doesn’t forward any ports. I have talked with them and they don’t offer any solutions.

I have been keeping an eye out for a free/ reasonably priced cloud based VPN solution.
