I think you need to do it in the same way as in the example you linked to, except that if you also want to run Blynk on the ESP device then you’ll need to keep the void loop clean.
Are you planning to use the same GSM board as in the example?

GPS trigger is only available on Android devices (I’m an iOS user), but as far as I’m aware it’s about tracking the mobile device that’s running the Blynk app and triggering an alert when it enters/leaves the geofence zone. That’s somewhat different to the scenario you are discussing.
