I have a Hall effect sensor to check the garage door, the value is always zero when the door its value changes and activates Eventor opens the Settings: WHEN V0 - IS NOT EQUAL TO “O” SEND NOTIFICACION only if this open Blynk application works very well and sends the notification but if I am in another application does not send anything. Eventor use the widget with another temperature sensor and the DHT11 is the same. settings is: WHEN TEMPERATURA V1 - IS HIGHER THAN 20 - SEND NOTIFICATION. when open the Blynk application works very well and sends the notification but if I open another application does not work or if the cell phone is in standby mode does not work. this misconfigured?. use another cell phone and it’s the same, please help.

  1. if I’m in my office, and someone opens the door of my house I receive the notification only if the application Blynk open on my cell phone.
  2. if I’m making a call I do not receive the notification, if I’m in the browser I do not receive the notification,
    if the cell phone is in standby mode I do not receive notification
  3. I can not use the cell phone for other applications that do not send notifications never,

@hkjavier I think much of what you describe is part of the limitations of PUSH. Do you have PUSH set as priority HIGH in the notification widget. Think you will have some phone settings too for PUSH.

Consider SMS if notifications are important.

Notify When hardware goes offline: ON
Priority: HIGH

I tried it with Normal priority and not send the notification

@hkjavier SMS is available via email to SMS gateways. Your Project emails the “SMS” and the gateway delivers it. Much more reliable than PUSH but there is a modest cost from most, but not all, gateway providers.

If notification is nice to have but not essential then PUSH is generally fine. If the notification is to say your house / business is on fire, carbon monoxide is dangerously high or “Katerina” is on her way then SMS is probably the way to go.

@hkjavier maybe the problem is within your notifications setting somewhere withing Android settings?

@hkjavier also what version of Blynk app do you have? Do you use local server? What is your phone and Android version?
