Esp8266 + Arduino uno + Blynk

Check the wiring and then check the wiring again. I can’t really suggest much more than this. In the flashing tool if you untick the 4 bin files and click the button (can’t remember the name of the main button) it will tell you if it is connected to the ESP without trying to flash the device.

The button you are talking about is the start button next to IDLE display I guess.and if the boxes are unticked it’ll show the details of esp.
Here it say Failed.

Yes Start and failed suggests a wiring problem. You need to ensure the com port is not being used by any other app, like Serial Monitor. Maybe reboot your PC etc, etc.

Just one point on the echo issue. Just wired up my Mega again with ESP-01 and I was sure it was all ok but I still got the echo message.

Either because of Blynk.run() in the loop or the while (Blynk.connect() == false) {} in setup, probably the latter, it eventually pushed the dreaded echo message aside and connected to the server.
