Bridge to Automation

In Blynk1.0 we had the “Bridge” function to transfer data from one device to the other.
Now in Blynk 2.0 “Bridge” is not available anymore, but replaced by “Automations”.
Is there an example of how to transfer a value between two devices with Automations”?

e.g. one dive measure temperate.
The second device is a Clock and you want to show the temperate on this device.

Can somebody give some advice to start?

Automations don’t currently support data transfer between devices.
There is a workaround, which is to use the HTTP(S) API to send data from one device to another.

Okay, I’ve been doing some testing this afternoon. I’ve been using an ESP32 and the HTTPClient.h library. I’ve not tested with an ESP8266 and the ESP8266HTTPClient.h library, but I wouldn’t expect the results to be much different. I’ve managed to use the HTTPS API call with both the BlynkSimpleEsp32.h and BlynkSimpleEsp32_SSL.h libraries, however, the response times from the HTTPS API call are much longer than when using the HTTP API call. I guess this is what was causing @Blynk_Coeur’s -5 err…

Thanks for the feedback.

Think this is a nice solution, only I’m not a programming speciality. That is the reason I use Blynk to make my life easy

Was think ![ Automation was replacing this. Then I wait on Rule Engine in the future and stay by Blynk 1.0
