Blynk & Node Red pin communication issues

I’m unable to get Node-RED to interface with my hardware (ESP8266) through Blynk using (ws://blynk-cloud.com:8082/websocket). The injected string value does turn on/off said button in the blynk app however doesnt seem to “BLYNK_WRITE(V1)” said value to the ESP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try searching this site for the words “Node Red” and sort by latest post, as there have been a few topics about similar issues already. Solution is sometimes the port, sometimes syntax, library updates, etc.

FYI @tzapulica has announced that he don’t have the time to keep updating the node-red web sockets if you are using it.

Node-Red and Blynk work really well for me. Does your Blynk node say ‘connected’?

Pete.

it does say “connected” however will only interact with the app and not the physical pins…
However got it all working without the blynk node using the regular http request function instead (GET/PUT)., seems to be working fine.

Was that a GET/PUT from within Node-Red? If so, would you mind sharing the way you did that?

Pete.

Here’s an example setup of two nodes simply using the http request function, one for controlling a button value and one for reading sensor data from blynk
