Blynk BLE Adafruit

Hello, I am trying to get my Adafruit BLE Bluetooth Shield to transmit sensor data from an Arduino to the app. So far I used the example Adafruit Bluefruit BLE code from the Blynk-library and while my Bluetooth shield connects to the app, none of the data I am transmitting arrives to the server.

The code I am using is a combination of the BLE example code and the push data example code.

//#define BLYNK_DEBUG
#define BLYNK_PRINT Serial

#define BLYNK_USE_DIRECT_CONNECT

#include <BlynkSimpleSerialBLE.h>
#include <SPI.h>
#include <BLEPeripheral.h>
#include “BLESerial.h”
#include <SimpleTimer.h>
SimpleTimer timer;

// You should get Auth Token in the Blynk App.
// Go to the Project Settings (nut icon).
char auth[] = “my authentication code placeholder”;

// Define pins (varies per shield/board)
#define BLE_REQ 10
#define BLE_RDY 2
#define BLE_RST 9

// Create ble serial instance, see pinouts above
BLESerial SerialBLE(BLE_REQ, BLE_RDY, BLE_RST);

void setup() {

Serial.begin(9600);

SerialBLE.setLocalName(“Blynk”);
SerialBLE.setDeviceName(“Blynk”);
SerialBLE.setAppearance(0x0080);
SerialBLE.begin();

Blynk.begin(auth, SerialBLE);
//Serial.println(“Hi2”);
Serial.println(“Waiting for connections…”);
timer.setInterval(2000L, myTimerEvent);
}

void loop() {
SerialBLE.poll();

if (SerialBLE) { // If BLE is connected…
Blynk.run();
}

timer.run();
//delay(1000);
}

void myTimerEvent()
{
// You can send any value at any time.
// Please don’t send more that 10 values per second.
Blynk.virtualWrite(V5, millis() / 1000);
}

The code right now is only designed to send the time value as a test. I know that the BLE functionality is still in beta, but is it possible to send data from the Arduino to the Blynk app via BLE?
