Are there any limits on the value of a hardware signal to the server

For the hardware to server protocol, are there any constraints on the value that the can be sent to the server?

Obviously a digital pin should only send ‘0’ and ‘1’, but what about an analogue pin? Is it possible to send a floating point number? Will it be correctly handled and displayed on a graph?

What can be sent for virtual pins?

We have no constraints right now on hardware messages. We pass messages as strings. This is exactly for case which you described… So yes, you are able to send floating number as string “2.324234”. But right now we have a bug in iOS app that doesn’t allow to display fully such message. It is already fixed and will be available during next iOS update while on android it should work fine. Same for virtual pins - you could send anything.
