What is SD Widget?

I found SD widger example sketch, but don’t know how it work? Anybody please can explain it?

Maybe just for an SD card reader? Looks like it.

@Dmitriy, is this an unfinished widget/idea? Would be neat to be able to mount a virtual SD card and send wav/mp3 files to an arduino with a speaker.
